The Light of My Life

Lord, we are in the middle of darkness this evening. 

We invite you into our hearts as our light as we light the candle in our hearts. 

We do not think about how much darkness surrounds us but fix our eyes on this light. 

This light is the one that shines to wake up all creatures in the dawn like the beginning of the world. 

This light is the one that shines to give life to all creatures at noon like today in the world. 

This light is the one that shines to lead all creatures to rest at sunset like at the end of the world. 

This light is the one that Isaiah prophesied to give us hope. 

This light is the one that Magi followed to relieve joy. 

This light is the one that Paul saw to be transformed into peace. 

You are the light of hope. 

You are the light of joy. 

You are the light of peace. 

You are the light of the world. 

You are the light of life. 

You are my light.
