Micah, Micah, what does the Lord say?

Micah, Micah, who are you?

My name is Micha which meant "who is like YHWH".

People do not know my father's name which implies a poor, rural, family origin.

I am a farmer who lives in the tiny town of Moresheth in South Judah.

I am a prophet who prophesize similar messages with Amos, Hosea, and Isaiah in the eighth century.

  (Amos 5:21, Hosea 6:6, Isaiah 1:14, Micha 6:8)

I am close to a poor one while Isaiah is close to a King in the big city of Jerusalem.

My voice is not heard by many in my time,

but it is heard by many through Jeremiah in Jeremiah 26:18.

Micah, Micah, what do you see?

There is a lot of injustice toward the lowly.

They do unjust business dealings, robbery, and mistreatment of women and children.

A government lives in luxury, but the people live poor.

Religious leaders worship in Pagan altars and follow their traditions to sacrifice their children.

God's anger will destroy our nation by the enemy, the Assyrians soon.

People try to please God through sacrifices a year old calves, thousands of rams with ten thousand rivers of oil, their firstborn, and the fruit of their body for their sins.

Micah, Micah, what should we do?

We see a lot of injustice as you do.

We live at the end of the world.

We do not know who God is.

We do not know how to please God.

We do not know how to live.

Micah, Micah, what does the Lord say?

He has told you, O Mortal, what is good;

and What does the Lord require of you

but to do justice and to love kindness,

and to walk humbly with your God?

Micah, Micah, what does it mean?

The Lord does not want lots of sacrifices of hypocrites.

He wants us to have His heart.

He wants us to live like him who does what is right and loves mercy

as He shows us through Jesus Christ.

He wants us not to be perfect, but to be humble to ask for His Grace.

Micah, Micah, would you pray with me?

Let me give You a real sacrifice with my sincere heart.

Let me speak the truth in love to proclaim Your son Jesus Christ.

Let me do what is right, and do not miss any chance to show mercy.

Let me not try to be perfect, ask for Your grace humbly.
