한 번도 생각해 보지 못했습니다 

우리가 노래로 지어졌다는 것을

우리의 삶 자체가 예술이라는 것을 

우리가 흘린 시대적 눈물과 개인적 아픔이 주의 빛을 품었을 때 성화가 될 수 있다는 것을 

이제는 고백합니다 

부족함으로 채워진 어두운 배경에 키아로스쿠로 기법(명암법)으로 감사의 빛을 초대합니다 

내가 그리려는 그림 이상의 것을 해석해주심에 감사합니다 

우리의 신학이 신앙이 되게 하소서 

나의 노래로 만들어진 성화가 다른이들의 노래를 불러내 함께 성화를 그리는 삶을 살게 하소서 

Let Us Sing with Our Icons

I had never thought of it before—

that we are composed in song,

that our very lives are works of art,

that our tears—both of our time and our own—

could carry the light of God

and become icons.

But now, I confess:

into the dark canvas of our flaws,

I invite the light of gratitude,

like chiaroscuro in sacred art.

Thank You for interpreting

beyond what I can paint or imagine.

Let our theology

became our living faith.

Let the icon born of my song

Awaken the songs of others,

that together,

We may live as icons

illuminated by sacred light
