Dear, Lord. We are grateful that Hannah is going to be your family officially by baptism with all our beloved church members today. When You gave Victor and I heart to plan the fifth child, You reminded us American Missionaries who came to Korea 140 years ago, raised their children in the foreign land, and preached the Gospel. You really wanted us to be a mission family to give God’s grace back to this country with our Hannah.
As Abraham sacrificed his son Isaac with faith, when we sacrificed our fear, energy, time, and our own plan, we realized how you were pleased by our faith. “Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. (Hebrews 11:6) Lord, let her have the same faith with us to please you.
As her English name, let her have the same faith with a Samuel’s mother, Hannah, who prayed hard, and lived by faith. Lord, You gave our family the mission “Preparing for the way of the Lord” in this end time. As her Korean name, let her be a Your servant to prepare for the way of the Lord like John the Baptist who was humble to exalt you, and brave to deliver Your message to others.
Lord, we are so happy to raise Hannah and to see her growing in faith. When she remembers all people who need her prayers, and prays for them with her whole heart every night, listen her prayers. When she memorizes the Bible verses and Lord’s prayers, let it be her confession. When she sings a praise song, let her joy spread out to Your people. Lord, as you have given to her, let her have faithful churches, mentors, friends, and a spouse in her future life.
Lord, we give thanks to You again about that Hannah is going to be baptized with all our church members who love her so much! Let her be beloved, and love others for her life as like this moment. We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
