When we look over early Spring tree,
they are just dry branches.
When we look closer dry branches,
there are buds ending cold Winter.
When we look over our sufferings,
they are just painful.
When we look closer pain,
there are God’s grace to cover all things.
When we look over children,
they are just little.
When we look closer little ones,
there are huge possibilities we can’t imagine.
When we look over people,
they are just someone.
When we look closer someone,
they become my personal friends.
When we look over Jesus on the cross,
He is just a historical figure.
When we look closer Jesus on the cross,
He becomes His-story and my story.
* Nowadays our women’s Bible study members are practicing spiritual exercises with silence prayer in the nature and sharing what we listen from God. I was inspired by Linda Meraya’s meditation last week, and wrote this poem. Thank you Linda for sharing your insights with us!!
멀리서 그리고 가까이 보기
강영은
멀리서 이른 봄 나무를 보면
그냥 마른 가지
가까이 마른 가지를 보면
겨울을 끝낸 새순이 보인다
멀리서 고통을 보면
그냥 아픔
가까이 고통을 보면
모든 것을 덮으시는 하나님의 은혜가 보인다
멀리서 아이들을 보면
그냥 작은 아이들
가까이 작은 아이들을 보면
우리가 상상할 수 없는 커다란 가능성이 보인다
멀리서 사람들을 보면
그냥 어떤 사람
가까이 어떤 사람을 보면
나와 관계가 있는 친구들이 된다
멀리서 예수님을 보면
그냥 역사적 인물
가까이 예수님을 보면
하나님의 역사, 그리고 나의 역사가 된다
